I had an Oster blender for years and I loved it but the one thing it never did properly was crush ice. Long story short, it finally broke after many years of faithful service and although I did feel some brand loyalty, the ice-crushing was a tickle in the back of my mind that wouldn’t go away. Eventually it got the better of me and I started looking at some blenders a few pricepoints up from what I’d been used to.
In my research, Waring quickly distinguished themselves as one of the premiere brands and the Waring pkb10 classic chrome blender stood out for sheer looks.
I love that classic styling, I won’t lie. This blender seems to have the best of both worlds, it works great AND it looks great. Now, some people might look at this and complain that it is essentially a 2 speed blender. People seem to be used to 10 speed blenders and 12 speeds. Well never mind that. It’s ridiculous and you don’t need it. I had one for years and I don’t think I ever touched any of the buttons in the middle. Unless you are a master chef or something, all you ever need from a blender is: Really-Fast, and Not-Quite-So-Fast.
I’ve had the Waring pkb10 classic chrome blender for just a short while now, but already I can tell this is a well engineered machine. I feel comfortable recommending it over the more well known, but cheaper blenders, because it is clearly a superior appliance. Treat yourself to a fine looking piece of hardware that also works better than you may be used to. I am a fan of Waring and I suspect you will be too.
