Advantages

The manual blender provides all the equipment you need for a great party wherever you may be and can also mix up great smoothies as well. All you have to do is attach it to a table and start cranking away for the best drinks for miles around, well, probably the only drinks for miles around. It also has two different crank "speeds" with one for softer ingredients and another for heavy duty blending.

This blender is compact and can be quickly packed away for traveling as the bottom of the unit stores inside the top.

A durable and highly useful unit, you may find yourself using it at home more than your regular blender as cleaning up is quick and you won't have to keep on plugging and unplugging the unit which can be a chore, especially if you are blending for one.

Disadvantages

This blender needs to be clamped to something that is strong and very stable and the clamp seems to be rather inefficient, meaning you will have to concentrate on keeping it steady. You will also need a strong arm but you will soon get used to the crank action.

It is also a bit on the expensive side at around $75 for a human powered blender, but you will be saving quite a bit on batteries.
