Vita Mix Super 5000 Blender

Ok, I have had this blender for a long time now and I keep finding new uses for it. Recently I started making my own bread. I use the dry blade jar to grind the grain and knead the dough and it is fantastic.
I never even thought about making bread before, in fact I had the vita mix super 5000 blender for months before I even considered using it for that. I wish I’d thought of it sooner. It is a lot less work than you would think, even from scratch.
My first love is frozen daquiris (and margaritas) and for that, this machine is the best. The vita mix super 5000 blender simply does a superb job at crushing ice, plain and simple. It isn’t any more complicated than that, yet so many blenders FAIL at this somehow. The Vitamix on the other hand is consistent and quick.
Another thing I like is the shape of the jug. The blades in some blenders will spin, but nothing will happen because the contents at the middle and top are not being pulled down into the actual blending action. Vitamix designed their jug to seemingly funnel the contents down into the blades, which is essential when creating mixed drinks with different consistency ingredients. In a smoothie for instance, if the ice is on the bottom and the bananas on top (or vice versa) I have had blenders where the stuff on top will just sit there. This one doesn’t do that, it simply works the way you expect it to.
