These blenders look fantastic and come with a long warranty should you need it.

Great cookbooks are included along with manuals and instructional DVD's, so if you want to try a new smoothie recipe or maybe not sure on something you can be assured Vitamix will have thought of it and included it in the manuals or DVD.

Features

Packed full of features including an energy saving Swedish built motor coupled with variable speeds that will deal with any kind of blending you require, and with soft touch buttons which complement the blender perfectly you can be sure of quality in your Vita mix blender.

Both Vitamix blenders have a laser crafted, one-piece stainless-steel blade assembly.

The large 64 oz. BPA-free Eastman Tritan copolyester jug is perfect for those large cool drinks in summer, or hot delicious soups in winter... Yes, it will even cook your soup!

 

 

The jug will also accommodate all your ice cream making and other delights, and with the enclosed tamper, you can push your ingredients into the container, even as the blades are rotating.

The CIA Restaurant Commercial Blender and Vita mix Professional Series 500 both come complete with an instructional DVD, a cookbook as well as a manual and warranty should you need it.

So whats the difference?

 

CIA Restaurant Blender V Professional Series 500

The main difference between the two is that the newer Professional Series 500 enjoys 3 pre-programmed settings for - Smoothies, Hot Soups, and Frozen Desserts. Thats not to say that the CIA does not have variable control - they both have settings from 1 to 10, so you can achieve great results manualy.

Right now the 500 series comes in just brushed stainless, but with the CIA you have a choice of three different colors, red, white and black, each color will complement not only the Vitamix blender but your kitchen too.

Advantages

With the powerful energy efficient motor you are able to blend or grind food quickly and effortlessly, coupled with the large container you can prepare that soup or sauce for your dinner party in one go instead of in batches like most blenders.

The hardened stainless steel blades are firmly attached to the base so no need to worry about taking your blender apart.

There is an easy to use two part plug in the top of the blender which allows you to add ingredients even when the blender is running. It's also really simple to keep your Vitamix blender clean. A bit of warm, soapy water, a quick wipe down and your blender is ready for use again.

Disadvantages

The price for this blender is high and will put some people off making the purchase. But in our opinion you do get what you pay for, and the Vitamix has the highest average consumer rating on Amazon.

In truth it was difficult to find anything negative about this blender.

The only minor problem would be it's size, as the Vitamix might be difficult to slide underneath your cupboards in the kitchen. This can be annoying as the blender is quite large and bulky and ideally would be better underneath the cupboards.

We should also mention that we have had reports that older Vitamix blender Models would not grind grains. However, more recent reports state that the Vitamix 5200 blender comes with a dry container that's great for grinding grain.
