Oster Hand Mixer

I really wanted a hand mixer with a retractable cord and I saw that Oster made several models that offered that feature. For me it is a big hassle to wrap up an appliance cord every time I take it out or put it away. I highly recommend looking at the Oster hand mixer models that have this feature, as it is a real time and hassle saver.

The price of this hand mixer was really low, which I was extremely happy about but at the same time I did worry if it would be able to handle tough mixing jobs. So far it seems to be holding up very well! I have used my Oster Hand Mixer on meatloaf and some pretty thick cookie dough on a number of occasions and am happy to report no problems!

Things I didn't like so much: When running at the lowest speeds, the mixer tends to be a little louder than you might expect. Also, the cord sometimes does not retract properly and can take a few tried to get it all the way in. These are just minor problems and not really worth mentioning, except to give you a complete and honest picture of the mixer.

Overall, I don't think I would ever buy one of the more expensive hand mixers because this one works fine and if I do manage to break it at some point, I can always buy another one and still have spent less than if I had purchased one of the more expensive models.

Screws fall out
by: Skydesign

Bought this because of retractable cord,
which does not retract completely.
Came with lunch bag case , nice Idea but does not fit as well as other brands same idea.
Utensils on lid are too heavy for material flimsy elastic.
BUT the worse thing- I made Cupcakes for guests & one of the screws fell out into batter & one of my Guest got it! I was Horrified! So when I checked- another screw was also loose! They are so tiny I would never have seen it was mixed in the carrot cake cupcake batter.
IF you purchased one Check after each use!

Oster Hand Mixer Review
by: Chef_Tom

I was disappointed at the quality of the metal used for the beaters (and I assume, other attachments). I thought they were stainless steel, but after leaving them to soak in hot water overnight (a bit longer, to be honest) they were showing slight signs of rust in spots that needed to be scrubbed off with a Brillo pad. To be fair, that is my only complaint and the machine seems to do it's job well and seems to be mechanically durable.
