Oster Classic Beehive Blender

The Oster Classic Beehive Blender looks great and the classic design sits nicely in my kitchen. It also does its job fairly well but occasionally the lack of power can be frustrating.

Other than the design, what drew me to the Oster blender was its simplicity and this is something I appreciate to this day. I put the food in and choose one of two speeds and start blending. Additionally if I need to be a bit more careful with my blending I can use the pulse control function which works a treat. With the Oster blender I frequently chop, blend, pulverize, make drinks, grind coffee and even blend ice.

However the 500 watt motor is a bit on the light side for more heavy duty jobs and there have been occasions when I have tried to chop ice and the blender got stuck. Also it is quite loud once it gets going but this is something I have got use to.

Overall I have found the Oster classic beehive blender to be a balance of substance and style.
