Cuisinart Smart Power Duet Blender

Why did I buy the Cuisinart Smart Power Duet Blender?.... My husband and I just got married and have a small apartment with a tiny kitchen. The problem is, I love to cook and I need all my little gadgets. I am spoiled, and used to using my mom's fully stocked kitchen with every appliance imaginable. I don't have room for everything though, so when I saw that Cuisinart made this appliance that can be both a blender and a food processor I thought it was a really good idea and made sure we got one.

I was also a bit apprehensive, because with the price and the dual nature in the back of my head I was thinking I might be getting two mediocre appliances for the price of one decent one. I am happy to say I was wrong, though! So far (2 months) this little workhorse has done everything I wanted it to. I have made all sorts of dishes including homemade salsa, and also frozen daiquiris for my friend's birthday.

I do find myself wishing the food processor was a bit bigger, but other than that I have no complaints. If Cuisinart didn't make the "Duet" then I probably wouldn't have a food processor at all. I definitely suggest buying the Cuisinart Smart Power Duet Blender to anyone who loves to cook but is on a budget or has a limited amount of kitchen counter space.
