The Cuisinart CBT-1000 PowerEdge is an extra powerful 1000-watt die-cast blender with a 64 ounce jar. The blender has two speeds, which include preprogrammed ice crush and pulse functions.
The 64 ounce co-polymer lidded jar includes measuring marks for easy food and liquid measuring. The blender also stands at 8 2/5 X 14 3/5 inches so it will easily fit on any sized countertop.
The Cuisinart CBT-1000 PowerEdge is more powerful than most home blenders coming in at 1000-watts. Also, the glass jar holds more than most blenders at 64 ounces.
With two speeds, one can easily make milkshakes or smoothies, as ice is crushed easily with the Cuisinart CBT-1000 PowerEdge. But it is the die-cast metal design that catches most people's eye with this model of Cuisinart blender.
The main advantages of the Cuisinart CBT-1000 PowerEdge is the fact that it can deliver the power to blend any type of fruit smoothie or protein shake, and it can even be used for soups or for frozen drinks like margaritas. It is also quit compared to other blenders of similar power.
The CBT-1000 contains a Power6 TurboEdge design that creates a strong vortex to thoroughly blend all the ingredients inserted into the glass jar. PowerEdge also contains pre-set programs that combine timed pauses with bursts of power for excellent ice crushing results.
The 64 ounce jar, though large, is lighter than we thought it'd be and it has measuring marks on the side which eliminates the need for measuring cups. By far the best advantage is the fact that there are low and high speed settings, backlit buttons, a count-up timer with an audible signal after four minutes of blending as well as a stand-by mode.
Also, the buttons are made of a polymer rubber which won't seem to wear out as fast and they also make it so that there's less chance of the buttons chipping or breaking off.

The disadvantages of the CBT-1000 are merely that the blades seem to be too small for the large sized jar. As we write this review, we can't get over how large the jar is. At 64 ounces, it holds a lot of liquid. However, the small blades sometimes create air pockets that don't quite reach the ice or large chunks of fruits and/or vegetables.
Another complaint that we had when we used the blender was that it seemed to splash liquid over the top whenever it was filled more than a third full. But as long as you don't fill it too high you should be alright. That is all we could find as far as disadvantages go, which is another testament to the attention Cuisinart gives to its blenders and its consumers.
When writing these reviews, we will generally read consumer reviews and include them with our report so that we can get a better picture of how the blender works for various people. However, when searching for reviews we have yet to find a negative. One person mentioned the small blades, but with the pause and go pre-programmed function, it usually works itself out.
Therefore, the Cuisinart PowerEdge blender so far has all positive reviews which really isn't surprising considering Cuisinart's track record. When we find a blender that has such positive reviews, with minimal or no negative reviews, we cannot help but recommend this blender for all kitchen blending jobs.
All in all, we highly recommend the Cuisinart PowerEdge blender. The die-cast look is a great addition to any countertop and the 1000-watt motor is perfect for blending or chopping ice to make your favorite fruit smoothies, protein shakes or even to make dressings, soups, gravies and more.
The best part about the Cuisinart CBT-1000 PowerEdge is that it is surprisingly quiet considering how powerful the motor is. But by far the best feature is the pre-programmed controls that will make quick work of ice so that you have a perfectly blended drink, gravy, etc. every time. Also, the vortex created by the TurboEdge design is very neat to watch, which means you'll want to use the CBT-1000 as often as possible.
So if you are considering a blender that will work on the toughest jobs, while also looking for one that looks sleek and stylish enough to go with all of our other appliances, you can't ignore the consumers when they tell you that the Cuisinart CBT-1000 PowerEdge is one to consider.
