Breville Ikon Won't Run

My Breville Ikon power light comes on when plugged in, but when I touch any of the function buttons I just get a small click and a flash of light and then nothing.

Breville blender problem

I turned my breville blender on and it turned off immediately. Won't start again. Nothing happens when I press start..(I did check the plug....no problem there.

This sounds like a motor or switch problem, how old is the blender?
