The first thing that drew me to the Breville bbl550xl Blender was its classic design that had been given a modern makeover...

The blender looks sleek and stylish and doesn’t compromise on quality as it feels like a sturdy product which will last me for years to come.

The best thing about this Breville blender is the noise it makes, or lack thereof. For such a powerful motor, which I frequently use to chop up ice with, it makes comparatively little noise which is something I didn’t expect of any kitchen blender :-)

Despite the tremendous power and the low level of volume, the Breville Ikon blender is by no means perfect and with continued use I began to have problems with leakages. This problem stems from the flimsy and awkward rubber gasket which is positioned in the base of the inside of the blender. On occasion I’ve found it hard to seal or tighten and when not done properly the Breville bbl550xl Blender ends up leaking from the bottom.
