Braun MX2050 PowerMax Jug Blender

Normally when I buy an appliance I go straight for the top of the line because I don’t want to have to deal with mediocrity. Unfortunately, I had a couple of fairly expensive blenders I ended up returning because I was extremely dissatisfied with how they performed. Specifically, I have a protein shake daily and some blenders are completely inadequate when it comes to crushing ice -- regardless of the manufacturer's claims.

The braun mx2050 powermax jug blender is so much less expensive than some of the others I've used, it isn't even funny. How can it work better than at least some of the "professional" units? I really have no good answer, except that it does. I use it every single day and haven't had a single problem with it yet. It crushes ice perfectly for extremely smooth protein shakes and from start to finish takes me less than half a minute to make one.

It's also very easy to clean, providing you do not wait to clean it. Once the mess has a chance to start drying is where you run into trouble. Rinse it out immediately after using it and you'll have it spotless in just a few seconds.

For the money, I don't think you'll find a better blender out there. I wasn't sure what to expect from the braun mx2050 powermax but I definitely was pleasantly surprised and am happy with my purchase.
