However, your blender is capable of making some amazing blender drinks that can liven up any party or create perfect concoctions for any taste or preference.

Here are some blender drink recipes you can experiment with for your next get-together.

Frozen Blender Margarita Recipe

Everyone loves a great frozen margarita. Ideal for parties or for when you're having Mexican food, Margaritas are popular everywhere. The key to making a great margarita is to have a good recipe.

You will need:

  • 1/2 lime
  • 12 oz (350ml) Sweet and Sour
  • 6 oz (175ml) Tequila
  • 2 oz (60ml) Cointreau (triple sec)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 oz (88ml) lime juice
  • ice cubes

Fill your blender 3/4 full with ice cubes. Pour alcohol and lime juice over the ice cubes in your blender and use a pulse setting to blend well. You can adjust the amount of ice you use depending on the consistency and thickness of ice you want

Dip the rim of your glass in lime juice and while it's still moist, dip the rim into a little salt. Cut a thin slice of lime and garnish the top of your glass with the sliver-wheel.

Pour your frozen margaritas into glasses and enjoy.

Strawberry Daiquiri Recipe

There's nothing finer than a smooth frozen strawberry daiquiri at a party or just on a hot summer evening. Add this great daiquiri recipe to your blender drink recipes collection and you can enjoy it whenever you want.

You will need:

  • 6 cups ice
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 4 oz (120ml) fresh strawberries with stalks/stems removed
  • 1/8 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup white rum (e.g. Bacardi)
  • 1/4 cup lemon-lime flavored soda

Place ice cubes in the blender and add sugar and strawberries. Pour lime juice, lemon juice, white rum and soda over. Blend until your daiquiri mixture is completely smooth.

Pour into cocktail glasses. Garnish your glass with a cut fresh strawberry and serve!

Pina Colada Recipe

The wonderful tropical taste of a well-made pina colada just can't be beaten. This old-style drink is ideal for parties or just a night at home with some friends and is a perfect addition to your blender drink recipes collection.

You will need:

  • 6 oz white rum (e.g. Bacardi)
  • 8 oz coconut cream
  • 8 oz pineapple juice
  • 4 cups crushed ice

Place ice into your blender and pour rum, coconut cream and pineapple juice over it. Blend all ingredients until everything is smooth. Pour into tall glasses.

Garnish the side of your glasses with a slice of pineapple and top with a maraschino cherry held in place with a toothpick.

Orange Surprise

This smooth, refreshing blender drink is perfect for those summer nights or at a party to liven things up.

You will need:

  • 1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
  • 8 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 3 oz coconut rum
  • 3 oz dark rum
  • 3 oz coconut cream
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Place all ingredients into the blender and blend until everything is smooth. Pour into glasses. Garnish your glasses with slices of orange and pineapple and top garnish with a maraschino cherry held in place with a toothpick.

Frozen Black Russian

The traditional coffee-flavored cocktail is usually served over ice cubes, but you can't beat the taste of a Black Russian made with crushed ice from the blender.

You will need:

  • 3/4 oz (25ml) Coffee liqueur (e.g. Kahlua)
  • 1 1/2 oz (50ml) vodka
  • Dash of Cola
  • 4 ice cubes

Place ice cubes in your blender and crush the ice until you have a slushie-type consistency.

Pour crushed ice into a glass and pour vodka and liqueur over the ice. Pour a dash of cola over the ice and serve immediately.

Champagne Fizz

This blender recipe is a variation of an old traditional cocktail. It's ideal for celebrations, parties or any other occasion.

You will need:

  • Tub of Mango frozen sorbet
  • 1/2 bottle champagne
  • 1 1/2oz (50ml) vodka

Scoop sorbet out of the tub and place into your blender. Pour some of the champagne into your blender and add the vodka. Blend until the sorbet is smooth. Add more champagne if you prefer a thinner texture or less champagne for a thicker consistency.

Pour into champagne glasses and serve immediately.
